Paying less for Internet is not only about finding the lowest price: it is also about not paying for what you don't need. Five tips to lighten your bill.
1. Choose the speed you need, not the biggest one
For one person who reads email and browses the Web, 6 to 11 Mbps is enough. A couple working from home will be comfortable with 17 to 35 Mbps. Keep the high speeds for families, 4K and online gaming. Our assistant tells you in two questions which speed suits your household.
2. Pay yearly if you can
With a yearly plan, one month is free and so is the installation ($50.00): you pay 11 months for 12 months of service. That doesn't make it a contract: if you leave before the end of the year, the balance is refunded to you, minus the installation that had been waived for you. The details are in our cancellation policy.
3. Don't pay for your modem
A modem rented for a few dollars a month costs a lot after a few years. At Club Internet, the modem is a free rental for as long as you have the service: nothing to buy, no deposit. At the end of the service, you return it to one of our offices, in Montréal or Varennes.
4. Insist on unlimited data
Series, video calls, updates, online backups: a household uses more and more data. With an unlimited plan, the bill stays the same, no matter how much you use.
5. Add phone to your Internet
The Phone + Internet plan adds a home phone line to your connection for $9.95 per month: unlimited calls anywhere in Canada, caller ID, voicemail and voicemail to email. You can keep your current number.
And read the fine print
Length of the contract, penalty for leaving, price after the promotion: ask these three questions before you sign up. At Club Internet, the answers are simple: no contract, you can leave whenever you want, and a price that doesn't change. Our plans start at $34.95 per month.
