Frequently asked questions
Before you order
Can I keep my current number?
Yes. The transfer (number porting) costs $15 per number and takes at least 6 business days. Your number must stay active with your current provider until the transfer date: do not cancel your old service before we confirm that the transfer is done. A new number is free.
Can I install the phone myself?
Yes. The phone adapter is preconfigured: connect it to your modem or router and to your phone, and the line works. If you have any trouble, call us at 514 449-2582 or 450 341-2582.
What happens if the Internet goes down?
The IP line depends on the Internet connection and on electricity. During an outage, calls do not go through; remember to keep a cell phone for emergencies. 9-1-1 works from the address on your file: let us know if you move.
How do calls to the United States and international calls work?
By default, the line is open for Canada. The United States option adds 350 minutes per month for $5; it is already included in the Canada and United States plan. The international option opens the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe: $5 per month for access plus the minutes used, with a monthly spending limit that you set with us to avoid any unpleasant surprise.
